Just to let you know there is a lot going on at the sailing club in 2009. We have our 60th anniversary and we have booked the Foresters golf club for a dinner dance, live band, smart suitable evening wear to be worn.

 Tickets will be £40-00 per head, this will be a great evening so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to come. It doesn't seem possible its ten years since we did the last one time goes so quick.

We also have a 60th party and open weekend the last May bank holiday. This is all being sorted out at the moment. There will be sailing on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  On the Sunday there will be a special event this race is going to be called the pink ribbon race, open to any club who would like to come and join us. This is close to my heart I am sure nearly everyone has lost someone through cancer, I am one of the lucky ones, on August the 9th it will be 25yrs since I had breast cancer ,I feel very lucky ,I asked Simon, Ben and Dean, if we could do this to help to give back something to help, I know if people hadn't given in the past ,I most likely would not be here. If you cant sail ,just come down and support the whole day and evening fun and games ,there will be posters up in the club to publicise the event.
